Your pictures doesn't satisfy your question. Why ask about your hairdo and your hair is hardly visible to your pictures?

I think your current dark color is beautiful on your skin tone. I would suggest cutting your hair in a style that is just below your sholders that would give you more volume and body. And maybe a few very sublte high lights towards the front...but keep them very small and sublte. Hope this helps!

going lighter is your only option...but I wouldn't go too light too fast....

maybe you could add red glints/highlights for starters...

or lighten to a softer brown.....

just don't go too drastically light...that sometimes ruins darker hair and causes roots to look gross when growing out.....

Well! I think you should leave it brown. You could warm it up with a few high/low lights! Just ask the hairdresser of her perspective and opinion for which colours/tones.
