i have hair that's about an inch above my sholuders. i need something that's in style and easy to do. i don;t want to spend a lot of money. oh btw my hair is kinda thick and is kinda oily

if you could post a pic of ur hair it would be much easier to give u ideas . but to just throw out some ideas try the modern shag , more layers with lots of texturizing products , maybe even just layering it all over and giving it a quik curl w/an iron can do wonders .

I have the same kind of problem. I think it is best to layer it and then you can sometimes just straighten the top layers if you want.

Anytime you lighten your hair, it will be more manageable. Buy a product that will make it only a couple of shades lighter. You can dye back to your original color when you want. Why don't you go to a salon %26amp; get moderate perms to go perhaps above the face %26amp; to cascade down the rest of the hair, in a random pattern? I think that would be beautiful.
