here are some ideas:

braids- 1 or 2, french braids (search how to french braid on Q search), side braid

ponytails- half, side, pigtails

buns- loose and messy

gel- scrunch it

iron- straighten it, curl it, crimp it (if its in in ur school only)

acessories- headbands, scarves, cute clips, cute bows, bandanas (headbands are in). play around with those!

hair part- part it on the side

here are some suggestionsto get wavy/curly hair, i havent tried some of them, but i ve heard that they work-

curl with iron or rollers

put some hairspray in ur hair before going to bed and the tossing and moving will create random waves

braid ur hair and when u remove it there will be waves

put some defining product in ur hair and keep twirling it around ur finger. then, finger comb gently through to separate the waves

use sea salt spray or surf spray. sea salt will give really pretty beach waves

scruch it with gel

Hey, i think you should go for the curls...why do you think they won't stay in? if not, you can always do the old blow-dry your hair upside down trick, that adds volume. for a cute look you could try parting your hair really far to one side and i mean really far, not just the usual part above the eyebrow, but do a really far part just above your ear, if you part it when its wet then the hair will settle better and dry nicely giving your hair volume. maybe you could try adding curls just at the bottom of your hair starting just below your ear and working yor way down, then for picture day they will have softened to create a slightly textured look. One of my favorite looks involves styling wax, you can use any brand, but i prefer "suave sculpting wax" you can put a bit of wax on your thumb and pointer finger and run your two fingers down a couple of strands pulling outwards to accentuate your layers.

I don't know your usual routine, but I recommend that you blowdry your hair in the morning (use a heat protectant spray, if you have one) on a low heat setting, till your hair is mostly dry, then take 3 inch sections and blowdry them on high heat; just go up and down the strands a couple of times. Then, if you can, use a shine serum to top it off. Flip your hair upside down and brush it that way; it will add tons of volume and its guaranteed that with those few simple changes your hair will look 100% more fabulous!

I would like to change my hair style, at the moment it is long without much shape but is very thick. I would like to wear it down but I work in an office but also go out into fields (normally when it is raining!), so I need to be able to tie it back.

Well .. what you could do it have some long layers cut into your hair so when you tie it up the layers don't fall out into your face, also have a good trim about 2 inches- but it depends on what you like.That means you can have it curly or straight, It is up to you if you want a fringe straight across or one to the side, but that also depends on what you like.One last thing is if its very thick have it thined.

get layers, short layers, even if some pieces of hair fall out, just use a bobby pin. layers are cute, and try sidebangs, they are fit for most people and give you face a little class.... ha llol..... dont get choppy it looks weird and... choppy, just get normal layers, people will notice and love them and it thinks out your hair so its not too thick... but keep the length maybe get 1-2 inch cut off so its healthy but mostly keep the length i like long hair. kinda get it like miley cyrus, i dont like like her or anything, but i must admit her hair is gorgeous.

Are you wanting all over color OR just hilites? I like 1 or several streaks in the hair for effect. Remember----those colors will fade quickly and you will need to touch up almost weekly or when the color fades, you will be left with the bleached hair underneath. (Unless you are now very blonde.)

You cannot buy the original SCIII character's hair (but usually something close to it)...

and IIRC, you must progress through tale of soul (i forgot what its called, the story mode basically). to either unlock the hair or unlock it in the store for purchase (i believe its the latter). finish the whole thing to be able to buy everything.

My favourite way to use hair straighteners is to curl my hair with them. It looks really nice and is easy to do. All you have to do is sort of straighten your hair but on an angle and twist the hair straighteners as you release each section of hair. It's not very easy to explain and I'm useless at describing the technique but hopefully you get some idea of what I mean.

you can simply do a body wrap it will show all of your layers, all u wold have to do is roller set your hair set under the dryer for 30 min. you should get layers shaping your face. that way you can mousse it right out of the shower and your curls will naturally frame your face ina really pretty way. You can also buy a hair straightener (a good one, like a Chi) and straighten it once in a while. do it one day and just dont wash your hair every day. If ur hair is like medium long length (a lil'longer below the sholder) and ur hair is all one length, I always do my hair half up half down (and I make sure my hair is sleek and strait before I put it up).

I also put my hair in a high pony and I make the strands hanging out wavy with this Paul Michel gell I use when I get out of the shower.

And you could always get a cute cloth headband (its more comfortable) that wraps around your head with a cute bow or lil'button, and either make ur hair wavy with gel or straight.

I love this too! Its is very elegant if done right! But does take some time. I suggest taking a shower first so your hair is wet, and comb so ur hair is neat in 2 parts. Then you will need to make one clean bun on the back of ur head on one of the sides you parted by pulling it back,(as if making a pigtail) and making sure you get all the hair up in your high bun.Tighten with a rubber band around the bun or fasten bobby pins around it. Repeat on the other side bun. Tip:You could always braid it first then make a bun. and when U braid it bobby pin it son the ends of ur braided hair go upwardlike this:

i love curls. this is what to do. buy an attachment call a difuser for your hair dryer. it cost about five dollars at sally. after you condition your hair...towel blot...rub in protective cream or spray, rub in your styling cream...towel blot the hair again to take out some of that moisture. ...place dryer on medium heat...use the diffuser buy pussing up the hair. dont touch the hair meanwhile the curls are seeting in. continue doing that this will give hair hair nice bounce. to dry and lift your hair at the scalp...place the diffuse still on medium heat on your scalp area turn and lift, turn and lift. do this section at a time. dont do it fast like your in a race. just until that section is 80 percent dry. then rub a pea size of bed after party (i call it the pink stuff, because the bottle is pink) into yoru hand like lotion and rub it starting from your forehead to the end of the hair. this will allow the hair not to be frizzy. walla

well if ur hair is like SUPER long then i would cut it to like 3 inches below ur shoulders. and i would go for long side bangs

Do you girls prefer longer hair than short hair. I dont mean shoulder length long but im talking about hair just below my eyebrows. And the hair doesnt even touch my collar on my shirts. So its not that long. But its very well-kept and i could show you a pic if you ask. It also has a lil flip at the end of it and it has blonde in it too. But do you think that looks better than short hair thats about 1 1/2 - 2 inches long, but no hair gel ivolved, so no spikes or anything of the sort. So its just plain short hair.

Although most people so far answered pro-long hair, it definitely depends on who you're with/looking to be with. It also depends on what you feel works best for you, and, believe it or not, how old you are. Every face is different, and just because a certain shaggy long-banged look is in style doesn't mean it's necessarily right for you. Put It in a high Pony tail and use bobbie pins. You can do a half-updo and leave half down and half up in a pony tail and at the crown make sure you push it up a little so it will have a little more umph. Put it in low pigtails, Its cute when I do that.

I have the same problem with my hair. After it has been scrunched and is nice and dry, try scooping it up in a clip on the back of your head and then pulling some curls out to look kind of messy. This looks really cute. Another one that looks good on me is to take (again, after it is dry so it has some body) hair in front of your face and twist it and use a bobby pin to pin it straight back on top of your head. This looks kind of dressy. Even doing the half-ponytail-half-down style is cute, with the hair combed back into a pony and half your hair left loose underneath.
