It's too hot to worry. Just get some Scunci no damage no metal parts firm and tight comfortable all day hold bands. Just bought a card of 21 in black (with 3 colored ones free to try out) cheap at a drugstore. They won't hurt your hair %26amp; stay put. Try a 24 hour drugstore.

your hair looks cute in the 3rd picture. auburn hair, right? so get a few strawberry blonde locks, like lighter, but still has a red tint. try semipermanent if you're not sure.

I didn't see the picture but I can tell you honey blonde highlights are always a good color, if you are dark haired then go with a caramel color. You can use color to achieve this so it won't damage, if your hair is still virgin (un-colored) hair. short hair is in style but mid length is always your best choice because you can do more with it, just below the shoulders or just above your bra strap with flippy top layers and long bangs.
definitely honey blond highlights and get your eyebrows defined.
